Trusting God With the Details

Lately when I try to pray about homeschooling my mind almost immediately begins to question how I can do it. What will I do about work? How will I manage our schedule? What curriculum should we use for math? Yes, I’ve actually thought about that last question. Sigh.

Today the Holy Spirit convicted me that once again I’m trying to handle things on my own. I need to learn to trust that God cares about all of these details and will provide for them. If it is God’s will for us to homeschool He knows the way for it to happen.

This song has been playing in my mind all day and today it’s my prayer.

“Trust in the Lord
with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will direct your path.”

Proverbs 3:5-6
