Action Plan for Removing Clutter on the Computer
28 DAYS OF REMOVING CLUTTER: PART 10
My goal this week is to clean up the clutter on both my work and home computers. I’ve outlined my action plan below and what I’ve accomplished so far.
- ✓ Remove all files from home computer desktop. Either delete them or move them to an appropriate folder under Documents.
- ✓ Review all unread messages in work email inbox and delete if possible.
- Remove all files from work computer desktop. Either delete them or move them to an appropriate folder under Documents.
- Move all work emails older than 2 months from Inbox to Resources folder (this is where I put all emails I don’t need to respond to but want to keep for reference and searchability).
- Systematically address each email remaining in work inbox. Every email will either be deleted or put in an appropriate folder. If the email needs a reply I will either send a response immediately or add a task to Nozbe (love this to do app!) to follow up later.
If I have time I will work on these additional tasks:
- Remove all files from home computer Downloads folder. Either delete them or move them to an appropriate folder under Documents.
- Remove all files from work computer Downloads folder. Either delete them or move them to an appropriate folder under Documents.
