Week 2 Review
28 DAYS OF NO SUGAR & NO CAFFEINE: PART 9
This second week of no sugar and no caffeine my goal was to read God’s Word for at least 10 minutes each day regardless of whether I was experiencing any cravings or not. I did read my Bible more often but it definitely wasn’t 10 minutes every day.
The main problem was that I set the goal without a plan. I didn’t have a set time of the day to read and I didn’t keep track of my progress.
As for the experiment of no sugar and no caffeine I’ve managed to stick with it. My only exception was to continue taking Natural Calm, a magnesium supplement I take which has some Stevia in it.
Here’s a quick review of the week and what I ate. Again, this isn’t comprehensive since I didn’t include all of the snacks I ate each day but it’s pretty close.
Day 8:
Pumpkin Pancakes from Practical Paleo with coconut butter
Salad with carrots, radishes, guacamole, proscuitto, and garlic sauce
Banana with almond butter
Leftover Chipotle salad bowl with carnitas, red sauce, and guacamole
Day 9:
Leftover Grilled Green Chicken
Banana with almond butter and coconut butter
Salad with salmon and garlic sauce

Day 10:

More leftover pancakes with coconut butter and pecans
Salad with salmon and garlic sauce
Salmon burger with guacamole and kimchi
Day 11:
Green smoothie with spinach, coconut milk, almond butter, and a banana

Day 12:

Day 13:
Prosciutto-wrapped mini frittata muffins
Cinnamon & Green Apple Mug Muffin
Pot Roast (recipe slightly modified and made in crockpot)
Paleo chocolate chip cookies (I ate the one in the middle with the pecan on top – it has no honey and no chocolate chips. The others were for my son and husband)
Day 14:
Prosciutto-wrapped mini frittata muffins
Leftover pot roast
Salad with canned salmon and garlic sauce
Cinnamon & Green Apple Mug Muffin
For this next week my goal is again to read God’s Word for at least 10 minutes each day. I’ll do this in the morning after dropping my son off at daycare.
